Chino Valley District Board Cuts Services To The Bone

the Chino Valley Unified school board has approved major cuts to its budget. The board on Thursday evening approved about $12million in cuts and is depending on negotiations with employee unions for another $12million in cuts, officials said. The last piston-engine combat aircraft, the Douglas AD Skyraider, will be the subject of a lecture hosted by the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino on March 6. The lecture begins at 10 a.m. and will be followed by a flight demonstration of a restored Skyraider. Organizers of the event say the Skyraider was conceived during World War II as a plane which could be based on an aircraft carrier and be used to dive-bomb the enemy. >>
